Yea, the native Oklahoman is a great one. Garth Brooks, Reba, and many of the top few are Okies.

I hate C&W music.

Oh Waite I thought you Roy Clark.

Greatest country artist was Elvis, but you have to first define "country music." If it's that commercial stuff on the radio these days, I'm out of the discussion.

If you are talking three chords, I say Niel Young is the man.

Buck Owens...Hank Snow a close second. Oh...Jimmy Buffett's early stuff....just fun!

Just remembered a weird stat...the number one jukebox song of all time? Meaning the one song that got the most paid for plays?

"Crazy"- Patsy Cline.

Must have been bucket loads of tears shed into beer when that was playing.

Three 'dubs:

You can say that you hate country music & really believe it. Until you are pounding down a highway in the middle of nowhere Alabama & there is nothing on but preachers & country. Within 10 minutes, you will be singing along & tapping your foot. It fits the south well.

Fixed it.

And I did listen to country back in the Willie and Waylon days.

Modern C&W is 50's rockabilly with cowboy hats.

I do like Dwight Yoakum, and a few others
