All good things truly do come to an end. Farewell Tom and thanks for the laughs and good advice you two provided. Saturday mornings won't be the same.

Sad to hear this news, whenever I was in my garage or driving somewhere on a Saturday morning, Click and Clack were on my radio.

RIP Tom, always felt upbeat while listening to you.

Was he Click or Clack?

I never heard the radio show but I saw their column in the Sunday paper each week. Yea, I know I am an old geezer that reads the paper.

Man we had some good times listening to them during Sunday afternoon ski traffic on I-70. Th whole family would laugh our a$$es off.

My favorite was why does the base model dodge caravan have the two rear sliding doors. So if you come up to a hill your buddies can jump out to help push it up.

I had one at the time with two toddlers, and they were right it had the power of 50's VW bus.

I love that show. Not at first, but it really grew on me over the years. Like Prairie Home Companion. His passing just reminds me that I'm getting older too.

Thank you Tom (and Ray) for many, many hours of entertainment and actually a good bit of knowledge too. Think about it, a whole radio show all about automotive diagnostics. Like House M.D. but funnier.

Sad news indeed. Those Click and Clack brothers really put a lot of common sense into fixing car problems and they were a hoot to boot.

Our whole family is sad at his passing. You don't really realize how much joy someone has brought into your life until they're gone.

Very sad day. Almost scheduled my Sat so I could listen to them. Even delayed going places until they were on so I could listen in the car and not miss anything. Pearls of wisdom with humor and humility.

Thoughts go out to his brother Ray. Must be very difficult. What I don't get is they say it was related to Alzheimer's disease, yet he seemed sharp as a tack right up until last Saturday.

We'll miss you Tom!

Was there ever a Click and Clack call about Porsches?

Edit: here, I found this puzzler. What's the answer?

RAY: This was sent to us by e-mail from John Zumsteig. He says it’s based on a true story. One crisp fall morning a man brings his Porsche into his mechanic's, saying that he couldn't drive it more than 20 miles an hour. At that speed it developed a horrendous shudder. The mechanic, being busy as usual drinking his morning coffee, tells the driver to drive his car into the shop but he couldn't look at it until later that day. When the driver returned that evening, you can probably guess the next thing: the mechanic reported that they couldn't reproduce the problem. They had taken it on a test drive, and the car ran perfectly. The next morning the driver returns with exactly the same complaint. Again the mechanic puts it in the garage and spends his morning drinking coffee and over-billing other customers. Again, the driver returns that evening, and he has the same story. “We drove it…”

TOM: The car was great. It was perfect.

RAY: “That thing ran great! What's the matter with you?” He handed him the bill for a hundred bucks. The third morning the driver returns. Same story: at 20 miles an hour, the car starts to shake itself apart. This time the junior assistant deputy fledgling mechanic, Crusty, hears the story. He asks a question. He says to the guy, did you buy new tires this summer? The guys says yes, I did.

TOM: Wow.

RAY: Crusty says, I know what's wrong with your car.

What was Crusty’s diagnosis?

Think you know? Drop Ray a note!

Yep, reruns for at least the last year. NPR on Saturday mornings will never the the same.

If you ever caught any of their shows where their mother was on you know where they got their sense of humor and personalities... she was a hoot..

RIP Tommy. Like many here, I've enjoyed the show for many years.

If my wife and I were listening in the car I would try to guess the correct answer to the caller's issue. If right, I would proudly announce it to my wife who was amazed.

I had to explain to my kids that one of the Rust-Eaze brothers died.
