Bullitt at the drags

That's the Bullitt in the far lane...a street diven car with "just a few bolt-ons"..
Note the E.T.

Holy cow! I remember when a 12 second vehicle was something to be reckoned with.

I saw an episode of Pass Time in which a supercharged Shelby 500? ran a mid 9 quarter mile.

Then don't click. Wasn't the title enough warning?

What? 10:4 @ 134 MPH in the far lane?

Yeah, just a few bolt ons.

And a big N02 bottle.

I'll bet if the guy in the near lane didn't burn his lights all the way down, he might have picked up a tenth.

Was that a convert in the near lane?

20 years ago to run in the 10's you just about had to build a pro stock.

No Juice...but it is a blown 302 built 3 valve block, auto trans, probably enough money in this one to buy a GT3RS...All depends on what floats yer boat, I suppose. The owner DOES drive this to & from various Mustang events...500 mile freeway trips. Of course, running different wheels & tires on the road..
Think his quickest run of the day was a 10.32 @135.56. Yes, definitely more than a few bolt-ons...but I did give it a winky smiley when I wrote that...

I think it was closer to 30 years ago. And the fastest guys (like Ronnie Sox) had clutch cars.
