HOLES?? bigtime.

how is this farm not run over by zombies? and why dont they call them zombies? walkers? stupid.

this farm must have one hell of a cattle fence to prevent zombies from taking over. they leave the lights on! it would bring every "walker" running or walking fast for miles.

i almost deleted my recorded copy, when the old man said he didnt want guns on his property. WTF? if there was ever a time to take gun control and throw it out the window, it is when the undead take over.. STUPID!!

It's actually not stupid if you know what happens next, which you might if you read the comic book ;-) just saying.... there might be holes, this isn't one of them... he might have his reasons... ;-)

I think the pace slowed a little too much, but that's largely the execs at AMC who cut the budget for this show, that are responsible for this. Less walkers, less money to spend... It's starting to look like "the Farm" story arc is going to be stretched to the entire season... It shouldn't be, the next "chapter" is way better and *way* full of zombies ! (trying to not to spoil it here).

o-oh...i'm liking the sound of this.

dont tell me! no matter how many PM's you get :)

Yeah - well as far as the "less zombie...more melodrama" goes....I agree I enjoy the action content more but you know it still has to appeal to those who enjoy the human interest" stuff.

Last night there was only one Zombie kill - unless you count each half which would actually be two then...;) I was a little surprised - heck why do you think we watch? :D

Also - when they lowered Glenn into the well - I would have had a sniper at the top poised for contingency.....pretty lame

And when they encountered resistance....you had to know that corpse was going to break up - didn't ya?

But regardless I'm still enjoying it and am optimistic things will pick up - they have to eventually.

The farmer's daughter, Lauren Cohan, is hot enough that alone is a reason to watch!

:p

I still like the show. The run into town was quite interesting! :D I kind of like the fact that they are not killing zombies ever other scene.

Holes in the story how about gapping canyons. I normally suspend believe in stories of this type, but please explain to me how one gets infected other than a bite. Seems this disease destroyed the world in less than a couple of weeks? Apparently, all the blood splatter is not much of a concern. All movies of this type explain the how and why.

Baz 11-13-2011 06:46 PM

Oh geez.....did you see that?

slodave 11-13-2011 10:52 PM

Okay, we all new it was coming but, geez. I still think it's a good show.

Brando 11-14-2011 09:00 PM

Wow, really? Really? What kind of sick crap does the doctor have a use for them? Or do I even want to know...

Heel n Toe 11-15-2011 12:51 AM

In the after show, The Talking Dead, someone speculated that the doc may be saving them for a cure, because in an earlier episode he speculated that a cure for the virus may be found someday.

Someone else noted that he has also been portrayed as a man of faith, so he has a giving heart and would definitely want to try to cure them one day if a cure became available.

He could also be part of a gubmint program and be required to keep them for some reason.

Maybe it's explained in the books... I'm not interested, but if you are... http://www.amazon.com/mn/search/?ref_=nb_sb_ss_c_2_16&url=search-alias%3Dstripbooks&field-keywords=the%20walking%20dead&sprefix=the%20walkin g%20dead&rd=1

911_Dude 11-15-2011 07:20 AM

Yea, finally a decent episode. I think they are friends or relatives that he's saving for a cure. What a dummy. Everybody knows you cant cure zombieism.

Oh and, go Asian dude! Finally somebody is gettin some.

And will someone kill that stupid botox blonde!!!!

asphaltgambler 11-15-2011 07:41 AM

my first though was food / canibalism - you see any livestock around there? - but the family seems to still be eating pretty good and the short sequence in the "h*ll on wheels shows someone walking toward the barn w/an empty wheel barrow.........................like they are about to 'fetch' some dinner??

if you cook zombie flesh to an internal temp of 190 - is it ok to eat??

89911 11-15-2011 08:54 AM

Seemed like 45 minutes was of that guy trying to climb a hill. Peacefull quiet farm. Barn full of Zombies nobody hears. I'll keep watching but its getting hard:confused:

vash 11-15-2011 02:48 PM

loved it!

love the asian guy banging the farm hottie. some of US do have game despite the farm dad. think he is racist? or he just delusional that his daughter is a virgin..?

that barn is creepy. nice to see merle come back for a visit.(wait, is his name merle?)

Baz 11-15-2011 07:21 PM

The farmer's daughter, Lauren Cohan, again.....who makes watching worthwhile - regardless of anything else. ;)

So this season started with them on the road and the mention of "herd mentality" when the group of walkers came thru.

Old man wants to deal with walkers himself.

Could it be that when a walker shows up he uses the captured ones to lure him in or has he figured out a way to get the captured ones distressed which scares away the new arrival/s?

dtw 11-27-2011 10:01 PM

The season got off to a slow start but WOW! Last week was really good and tonight was great.

slodave 11-27-2011 10:29 PM

I agree! I got a bit choked up there at the end. Now we have to wait until February for the rest of the season..

slodave 11-27-2011 10:32 PM

I think the very end was fitting. He didn't have a choice.

EDIT: Good read on tonight's episode.
