I recently came across this photo of my mother's car when I was in high school. Dad hated the wood "shelf paper" (so do I), so he special-ordered it. It looks black in this photo, but it was actually dark blue. My mother ALWAYS drove a large GM wagon - '60 Pontiac, '69 Pontiac, then this '75, then a couple Buicks. Not one of them had "wood" siding!
I love this photo. I believe it was taken before my father left for one of his fishing trips in the Boundary Waters of MN. The wagons were also used for many ski trips & to haul our Airstream around the country for 3-week vacations every June. I love "sport wagons" - my wife currently drives an '11 Audi A4 Avant. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1362844727.jpg |
