I am so damn tempted... The colour looks better in real life. It's darker than Fire engine red. I think it's called Monza red.
It's not an M car but it was ordered with M bits and pieces.

A couple of issues... There's no sound deadening mat under the front bonnet. (accident damaged???) :(
I haven't driven it yet but the wheels are 19 inch so they'd probably spoil the ride.

Whats it got under the hood? I'm assuming its a 330CI?

I'd look for a 330 or a real M. The 325 is one of the smaller motors, and thus is slightly underpowered. I suppose it would do for a DD, but its not going to set the world on fire starting at the rear wheels like an M would....

Do some research, I've read scary stuff about SMG maintenance/repair as they get up in mileage which is probably why high-mileage SMG cars tend to be cheap. Plus the early ones are reportedly pretty terrible automatics, I think they improved the shifting as time went on. This is only stuff that I've read on the internets, my E46 M3 experience was driving a local 6-speed car as a PPI for a BMWCCA member out of MN. That was a fantastic car, despite my current dislike for BMW I'd love to own one......until I remember that a Boxster S is the same money and a 996 is just a bit more.
