VH1-Metal Evolution

If you are into hard rock/heavy metal you should check out this program. It was very interesting to see what the writer saw as the beginning of what came to be called heavy metal.

Dick Dale= Heavy Metal? Really?

I really dug the old clips and footage of some of the great bands and some that I've never heard of(Blue Cheer).

Watching Metal Mania right now and just saw the commercial. I'll be tuning in tonight.

can these be coated with Tagnite?

Yeah, that same guy did another documentary a while ago and it was entertaining he makes a lot of wild claims but he's got some really cool interviews with a lot of people who don't usually get a lot of face time on air. Good ol Metal mania and that metal show, I try to catch them when I'm at my girlfriends house.

Sorry webb this kind of metal is corrosion resistant!

The VH1 shows are interesting, but if you are into heavy metal/hard rock find and watch LEMMY the movie. It's a great look at a living legend.

Lemmy is a good show too. I stood in line behind him at the Southwest counter at LAX a few years ago, but didn't bother him. Total hero.

I know. Even though I am a drummer I didn't collect records like so many others did and neither did my older siblings. I listened to whatever my parents had around which. That was pretty much jazz and a some Top 40.

Yes, I practiced(drums, you maniacs) to Herb Alpert's "Whipped Cream and other Delights". :)
