My Dad
I was three months old when my Dad volunteered and I didn`t see my father until 1945 when he came back.I can still remember the day he got home at Union Station in Chicago.Semper Fi, Dad!http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323272252.jpg

My grandfather in the South Pacific. Some amazing stories, but none better than the one landing back home on the West Coast at Christmas time and a war widow took them all in on Christmas Day.
Can't wait to hear it again in a few weeks, lots of pride and tears. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1323273151.jpg |
My father was a Pearl Harbor survivor and for most of his life he wouldn't talk about it and when he did the horror he talked about was too much for him and he always broke down and wept.

I was able to take my mom to Pearl Harbor, she cried the whole time.

My Father lied about his age and signed up early, he too was in the Pacific...

A day that will live in infamy, indeed. Never forget...

My grandfather was at pearl harbor. Luckily he was an engineer so they put all of them in a bunker and waited it out. He bought a used car the day before and it was pretty much destroyed after. He then saw the rest of the pacific campaign.
