I've gone before and only saw a couple classic Porsches. With the drivers not around. It's mostly modern stuff at the show.

Not Houston, this guy from the Mazdaspeed Miata board has been posting pics of the C&C from Irvine for a while. Some really cool stuff.

Pretty cool, I'll have to make an effort to get out there next time.

I took my 997 to the dealer 2 weeks ago for a check engine light. My salesman saw me and asked if I'd seen the 2012 911 yet, said they just came in so let's go look. We walked out back and there were 3 just off the truck. They weren't ready to drive yet but he said they're not selling the first ones, they'll be demos and I should come back next week and drive one!

BTW, the check engine light was for some bad coils. They replaced them all under the CPO warranty saying the others may go out so they played it safe.

Clearly the salesman has never driven with you!!!! Otherwise he'd still be cleaning his underwear and directing you to the service dept!!!

lately we've been verballizing about Hou C&C on Lone Star Region PCA page on Facebook. We had "big" plans for yesterday but the heavy rain shut down that plan. We're trying for a large turnout of Porsches at nxt month's event. BTW this is a very big show (1200+cars) with a wide variety of new & old, domestic & furrin. Look us up nxt month. LSR/PCA also is also holding GTG's at four different sites throughtout Houston (one per location per wk).

Oh well, we need the rain. Guess they didn't get the message that it should only rain during the week while we're stuck inside working!

With respect to Coffee and Cars, it seems to be a franchise kind of thing. They have a really good one in Dallas and others around the country (and Irvine too apparently, but I thought that's what CA grocery store parking lots looked like all the time!!).

There's a pretty wide range of fun stuff to oogle. I'm a car nut in general so I'm busy reshuffling my top 10 wish list a few hundred times while walking around. Here's a bunch from back in August and September:

It's the same salesman who let me drive a GT3RS with him in the passenger seat so he doesn't scare easy.
