Saw two thieves get busted last night.

I went to the Guitar Center in Scottsdale to buy some stuff and, when I arrived, saw three Salt River (Indian reservation) cop cars out front and two people in cuffs. I had parked my bike next to one of the cops, figuring that would keep my bike safe. Cop walked suspect over to me and asked me to give them some space. I was headed into the GC anyway. Once inside, the check-in clerk told me those two perps had tried to hawk some stolen guitars. I asked how they knew they were stolen. He said GC will keep a lookout for stolen gear if you alert them to it. And that's what this guitar owner had done. So he got them back and two scumbag thieves went to jail. Sometimes there is justice in this world.

Guitar Centet has a policy similar to Pawn Shop regs where they will hold used items for 30 days before they will sell them.

Rick, while we were there for NAMM, we were driving down...either Sunset or Hollywood Blvd.... I saw the huge GC there and had to stop. Saw the same thing, two guys getting cuffed and hauled outside.

Man, they've got some awesome instruments in that store.

Yes, I bought my second EVH Ernie Ball at that GC on Sunset.

Stomach, the cool thing about this bust was that GC was able to keep the thieves there and stall them while someone else called the cops. I have no doubt GC holds stuff like pawn shops do. But this one was extra sweet, catching the thieves and keeping them until the cops arrived.
