I sure hope they give him a nice bill for destroying the concrete pour. I would pull that car up on a tow truck and let the concrete set before he got it back.

I only count 4 guys working.

Someone using a cell phone and didn't notice the orange cones until the car was floating?

Working was the key word, clearly this wasn't a C4...;)

vash 02-17-2012 03:13 PM

just so you know..that contractor better have a detour plan that makes sense. you have to design those things for the dumbest possible driver you think you may encounter.

i bet he has to pay.

widgeon13 02-17-2012 03:26 PM

That's going to be hard to clean up/off.

RWebb 02-17-2012 03:26 PM

yeh, a C4 could have plowed thru there with big rooster tails of concrete streaming behind the car!

When in doubt, throttle out :D

The barrack has a no left turn sign on it. I wonder if this person drove around it. Looks like new asphalt under the sign.

Those aren't managers...they're supervisors....the managers are at the local strip club (or hooters...one or the other)!

When they invent the self-standing shovel all those guys will be out of work...

Is that the airbag deployed I see?

turbo6bar 02-17-2012 07:48 PM

I've done this trick before, except I was on a road bike. Going from 18 mph to dead stop in 6 feet is a helluva ride. The worst part was getting my Sidis shoes dirty.

That's the corner of Marina Blvd and Broderick. It's probabaly just a re-paving job unrelated to the Doyle Drive project.

I lived right down the street in 1989, then the earthquake hit. There was a lot more damage than that Porsche caused.

Who wants to put money on the odds of this TOOL suing the city and paving company
