Have nearly pulled the trigger on one of those several times now.

Eagerly waiting on a review.

Contemplating one for the wife.

My wife is constitutionally anti-gun.....dunno why but figuring out how women think is beyond me......but she did want to see it. I pulled it outta the box & she says: "Oh, that's cute". (sounded sincere?) I've heard those words before & sure enough after a few minutes she wanted one and wanted to go shooting (prolly need a new shooting outfit:rolleyes:). Naturally I encouraged her (no fool here after 40 years of marriage). She still has heartburn about me getting a CC.

I gotta find an indoor range to break-in.......the weather up this way is cold lately but not snowing like yesterday. The only indoor range in Vancouver is limited to 1000 fps. The break in ammo recommended (the CI stuff) is 1400fps.

Dunno bout the suppressed bit. There is some odd machining on the outer forward part of the barrel (see pic) but not much clearance around the slide. Suppressors are more expensive than the spoon & 5 times as much hassle with the feds. If I have to use the thing in anger noise is the least of my worries. .....

I think that suppressors are a lot easier to get with some recent legal rulings in (our) Washington.

My favorite .22 handspoon.... Now you need its bullpup brother....

J P Stein 03-02-2012 02:34 PM

Ah, heavy weapons.

BTW, yes, the teaspoon is pre-set up for a suppressor. I really have difficulty imagining why one would need or want a suppressor.....must be a bling thing. The way I bought it also came with a longer 5" barrel.....but only one mag. Go figure.

I've shot one with a suppressor, unless you were using it with sub sonic, its totally pointless. Just makes the gun nose heavy...
Edit.... I'm behind the camera....

It could be an advantage while trying to put down a rabid raccoon on your porch or in your yard.

I don't think suppresors are useless with non-subsonic ammo. I have one on my 17hmr and it brings the noise down to something like a .22lr without a suppressor. Sure the one on my .22 is really quiet with subsonic but it also brings the noise down considerably with the higher velocity stuff too.

Here in New Zealand you just go out and buy a suppressor for 70 bucks and screw it on the end. No more complicated than that.

JP, the barrell end unscrews. There should be a small 'wrench' in the box that fits the slots.

Very nice spoon there!!

BernieP 03-02-2012 06:34 PM

Nice. I just picked up one of these, .45 ammo costs were getting out of hand. Love those .22s, shoot all day for 5 bucks.
