There is a similar app that uses bluetooth and a OBD2-bluetooth adapter- it's cool because it's wireless so you can leave it plugged it all the time, while driving. The adapters are generic and $20 from amazon. The app is called Torque (stupid name, but whatever)
I have heard from many people that it works and works awesome. It can log data for download later, display all sensors on the CAN network, etc.
