Saw it today, really liked it.

I was trying to remember a Boy and his dog and it was on Netflixs .... so I made the mistake of watching it. Now I realized why I didn't remember it ......the movie blows...its really bad. I will give it credit for at least being emulated in Mad Max.

Ronald Regan pre-screened The Day After in the White House.
The ‘story’ is that this TV movie so impressed (scared) him that he abandoned his ‘evil empire’ tact and found ways to get agreements with Mikhail Gorbachev.

Apparently the TV movie was taken so seriously that ABC couldn’t sell advertising.

I show it to every one who didn’t grow up in the ‘duck-&-cover’ era.
The really scary thing is Russia & China still have most of those weapons.
Or … just think what one would do to NYC or DC.
