Nice find!

I didn't know there were hard top Bantams. My FIL has the roadster. You have a cool job!

Don't let Granny embarrass you - there's no clutch plate in a Model T as in a more conventional manual trans car! It uses a beautifully simple concept of a planetary transmission.

Left pedal is NOT a common clutch as one thinks. It engages the gears. The middle pedal is reverse when applied. The right pedal is the transmission brake. Throttle is on the steering wheel. The gear lever is a matter of feel. The bands are easily adjusted from the top and cover removed.

Disregard my previous comment with the exception of the more pics part.:D

got the shifting issue fixed. It was simple. The e brake wasnt adjusted properly, therefor they were engaging before you could take the car out of gear

The Bantam is sold to a gun store owner in Mississippi.

So we had a little hickup today, the had gasket is blown.
It looks like the head bolts were old and re used at some point and/or they havent torqued it one more time.
So I pulled the head off sent it to the machine shop.Ordered the gasket and new head studs.
Should be in wed.Cant wait to take it for a spin, but I have to make sure everything is working as it should.

I am happy for you. I think-but jealous.

In the last 2 years My Son and I have been planning to make a speedster out of a Model A 1928.
There is one just like it at the Reynolds Museum.

I fell in love with it the first time I saw it and sat in it. I tell you, somewhere in my brain I'd rather have this than any lotus or Ferrari 355.

I love nostalgia and I realize I was born at the wrong time.

How much more fundamental and raw could driving be.
I can imagine us driving the car on a gravel country road.
Man what a dream to have fullfilled.

And what is fantastis is one can have and convert for less than $8000 !
