small hatch looking thing (like an Impreza) with AWD and 150 hp....

BUT it also has 8.7 inches of ground clearance (!)

why not use air bags for the offroad bit to jack it up
and have better handling and MPG on road by being lower

diesel version sounds better 100+ more f/lbs
why so few diesels here ?

just a regular impreza with 3"more ground clearence. wonder if a forester suspension could be adapted to work with an existing impreza with taller tires. if you are on gravel roads or deeper unplowed snow would be nice to have the extra room. other than the improved milage with the 2.0l the performance numbers are the same as my 11yr old 2.5ts.

throw on the turbo already made for the 2.0l
