I do miss my dogs, I loved them so, and it broke my heart to see them go. BTW, Rocky looks just like my Zoey did! |

Hi guys,
I've been following this thread for a long time, I love dogs, but end up with a ten hour door to door workday and never felt right about making a dog wait that long. So, I got my dog fix by sitting for friends and volunteering with the local Golden Retriever Rescue- RAGOM, Rescue A Golden Of Minnesota. Well, long story short, a volunteer with the rescue found about an owner neglect situation where a dog was tied outside and not being fed except by a neighbor. Guy finally gets evicted and the volunteer, another rescue and the sheriff go and get the dog. Because he's paralyzed and has special needs, he doesn't find a foster home and gets boarded at a great vet. The people at the vets office treat him very well, but the accommodations aren't really made for a dog who drags himself to get around. I start taking him for the weekends and finally in December tell the rescue what I can offer him and we all agree that even with my long days, it's a better deal for him, so now he's my foster dog! His name is Tundra and he is a cool dude. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1425506982.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1425507011.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1425507038.jpg |
Tundra has his own Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/FindAHomeForTundra
Please share with anyone you can so we can get him a forever home. The website for the rescue is: Retrieve a Golden of Minnesota - Rescue & re-home Golden Retrievers and if you click the tab "available dogs" on the left and then find Tundra 14-123, you can see many more pictures and information about him. The rescue adopts in Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and a little bit of Wisconsin. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1425507403.jpg |
Well done Rwest that is a good looking dog! Mine are both rescues as well, if I were closer Tundra would probably be joining the pack!

Well done Rutager - great photos there! Tundra is very handsome! I will forward his info and please keep us posted of his progress.

Thanks guys,
He's an awesome dog- doesn't let his injury spoil his day, we could learn a lesson from his attitude. Rutager |
