Vash,

So sorry to hear about Harry. Your story really hits home for me, and believe me when I say I feel your pain.

Although I didn't sleep again last night, I felt a bit better knowing that our little man was at peace, finally resting.

I hope you get that inner comfort soon as well.

Thank you for sharing.

Good dog, Harry. Good man, Vash.

God loves a terrier.

My girl Lily in the 911

Her eis Lily on her way to the vet....Pax seat is rmoved, and for some reason she insists on sitting on the tiny back seat pad....not quite adequate for 100 pounds of dog.....http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1443630065.jpg

I hate to do this but ...........

Our German Shepard Macy has passed today at the age of 14. She's been in poor shape since the end of last winter. Almost blind, couldn't hear very good and her hips were giving out but she kept going somehow. Never seemed to be in any pain so we did the best we could for her and she seemed to be happy. We've called the vet 3 separate times to have him come and put her down and cancelled them all. We figured we would have to put her down before the snow came this year.

It's a long walk down to my garage from the house but she would still make the trip and lay under the apple tree while I tinkered on various things. If we left to go somewhere she'd always be down at the garage waiting for us to come home.

I left in the 911 at 7:30 this morning to lead our fall foliage tour for our PCA group. My wife couldn't go as she had an 80th anniversary event planned at our local ski area.

When I got home at 4:00 and turned up the driveway to the garage Macy was there as usual but she was gone. Wife hasn't gotten home yet.

Just got done burying her under the apple tree so she can keep me company while I tinker.
RIP ole girl i'll miss you.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, Pete.

Thanks for sharing this with us...she's so beautiful - as are all German Shepherds.

RIP Macy.....running free of pain now.....

Macy is a beautiful dog. Sorry you lost her, Pete. It's a bit easier when they decide their own time ..

Sorry you lost your buddy. Very pretty dog.

Chocaholic 10-04-2015 06:29 PM

Sincere sympathy. Too common but no less painful. God speed.

Probably the most heartfelt thread on Wayne's board. Thanks for sharing everyone! I'll pour another drink and toast the memories.
