So I got this little JRT who is now 3 months and 1 week old and yes he is becoming a professional excavator. However, he has a trait that I have never seen in my prior JRT's. When not excavating he loves to lay and watch TV. I told my wife that if he keeps it up I will need to get him his own flat screen and a special bowl to hold his Orville Redenbacher popcorn. Wife said, no problem but, I better not catch him chewing the remote or I will throw you both out. Tough being a dog and a dog lover!

Geronimo, that is really a great looking dog you have there. Is he/she as friendly as the face looks?

RKT, that is hilarious as it is trying to be your helper. My one JRT that passed away in July always did the same thing no matter what I was working on. Would never touch anything but, just sit and watch. They just are so determined to share with you. My wife and I really considered getting a Dachshund as they are really great little dogs. We decided to get another JRT as we have had a lot of experience owning them as they are a real challenge to one patience and intelligence. I will have to show your picture to my wife when she gets home as I can just imagine how much she will laugh.

Yes, he still has the mullet - LOL! Thought about giving him a Mohawk. I'll probably do that next spring. ;)

^^^Baz- terrific photo.
Q for you. During a bike ride this week, came close to having shredded thighs, and I don't mean shaved. Owner was out chit chatting with another of which that person had her two dogs on leashes. Owner of 'blue' did not and that little guy kicked it in gear really fast... nearly got me. What repels them without me having to take my backpack hatchet out? |
Zavo - firstly as far as Blues go...their bark is worse than their bite.....in fact their bark will scare the willies out of you...ha ha.....but the ones I have been around do not bite - unless you invade their space.
That said - try peddling faster, squirting them with your water bottle, wave your air pump at them in a swatting motion, tossing treats at them, or just yelling at them maybe. I do not endorse the use of pepper spray except as a last resort. |
If I lived in post apocalyptic Austrailia, I'd want a cattle dog as my companion.
Mad Max2 This was on TV last night, I'd never seen it before. I couldn't help but see my dog in every scene. |
