Those kinds of threads seem to follow a sort of pattern. Somebody presents a situation & asks for advice. The advice comes and people pile on with more and divergent views which are commented on by others, and the whole thing heats up. If it ends well at the end, everybody cools down and comes to terms with each other and the OP. Wolf seems to kind of understood that and come out of the encounter pretty rationally. There was a lot of good advice which I'm sure he will remember and probably keep in mind as he tries to resolve the situation. I wish him luck.

Probably the main reason I dredged up Markus' "Who's Who" thread.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/off-topic-discussions/623736-who-s-who-pelican.html

Remind everyone that there's a face and family behind the screen names we sometimes ridicule, make fun of and criticize. Even more so it seems in election years....

Adult voice: "And no more smoking weed in our house"
Miguel: (real whiny voice, close to crying) "What? Noooooooooo. We didn't agree to that"
LOL.....nine Herr - I meant the video of Miguel stealing from the "thread". I listened to some of the confrontation - could only handle a few minutes of it! I don't want to stick my nose in someone's personal life so I've said my peace and that's that, ya know?

Personally, that's not the way I wanted the whole thing to go down. I wish I'd have hit the record button before it even started, but it pretty much began with him starting to yell and get sh***ty when we showed him the video, and then her yelling back as response. His attitude is what got me (and her) all heated up, especially when he started asking why we'd do that to him, as if he'd done nothing wrong.
I was hoping for more of a "We know you're stealing, so you need to leave" conversation that ended with him out on his butt.

I admit to having hopes for a quick resolution, but sometimes these things take time, or as in LakeCleElum's former situation sometimes years (amazing that the lad became a chaplain!).

Wolfe -- my gf and I want to say THANK YOU to you. We are having The Talk this afternoon with her 20yo daughter. My gf and I learned a great deal from watching your most recent video, and we are now armed with a piece of paper upon which is written The List, a list of 3 things that we will firmly explain to the daughter, things that will be accomplished in an order that will not deviate, with the end result that we will move the daughter out in about one week. We are currently looking for a place for her to move to. No, we won't have an available room at that time.

Blessed peace and quiet...
