42" It works good enough, the runway eats up a lot of area.

I got 4.5 acres and a 48" Husqvarna and a 48" Craftsman but the craftsman is more for utility work than mowing it takes me about 3 hours maybe a little more to mow then another 3 or 4 to trim around all the trees. But haven't had to do that much this summer everything is pretty brown I just hope the trees come back.

1947 Ford 8N with a 72" Woods underbelly mower.

1 acre of yard and 3 acres of pasture converted to yard so r acres total.

When cutting the pasture i sometimes run it it 4th gear which is the road gear. It tops out at 14 mph and cut OK as long as the blades are sharp.

My yard is way too steep for a riding mower (gotta love East TN), so I'm pushing a Honda.

50" Dixie Chopper, I would have liked the 60" but price was about $1K more.

I cut 1.5 acres in about an hour.

I only have a .46 acre lot, but I LOVE my 33" wide-cut Cub Cadet. It has improved my life.

This photo was taken the day I got it - it isn't quite so pretty 3 years later.

54" Exmark. Cut two acres around the house. Takes just under an hour. In a wet summer I'd mow every four days. This summer no more than once a week. I live on a private road. The neighbors and I take turns keeping the frontage cut. 10-15' back on each side for half mile.

If you did this every weekend, by yourself, you'd have little time to enjoy it. We are adding landscaping and this is adding to the mow time, but I hope it eventually reduces over all time and overall mowing acres. You know one step back, two steps forward.

I've heard it said that grass is the highest maintenance plant in your garden.

Year old JD X320 54", I was going to buy a zero turn but my property is to hilly and has a 450' steep ditch. Plus I tow a custom dump trailer (way heavier build than anything you can buy), move the chicken tractors, etc.
I cut about 3-4 out of 23 acres.

I have a 60" plow on my ATV.

105"

Five 21" two stroke Lawn-Boys. All taken from the garbage in my area. They run forever.

44"
Just replaced my 12 hp Grasshopper with a used 16hp (got it for $1950 - has 150 hours on it!). I had the old one for 18 years. Great machine but it was worn out. I kept my old 44" deck because I landscaped much of my area with that size deck in mind.

My property is very small - I used to use a Lesco 32" belt drive WB w/14HP Kaw. - then got a Scag 48" hydro WB in a trade - until I sold it --- and now am just using this small Troybilt which suits my purposes just fine.

Have one too.... with built-in mosquito fogger the first minute on start-up. Sure is fun to get the reaction from 'tree hugger' neighbors with their Prius car and Black & Decker electric mower. Also looks great parked next to my '72 429c.i. T-bird out on the drive Saturday mornings.
