I'm not a motorcycle guy, but watching those guys fly through city streets and country roads is bad ass.
|
Thanks for the reminder. Love it.
Let us pray........ |
Going there is my dream vacation.

Thanks for the heads up! Just tuned in to see that they are running the sidecar gizmos. Wow that is some crazy stuff the passenger jumping from side to side to use his weight to keep it flat. Wild machines.
Beautiful place. Crazy spectators, like those at rally races really putting themselves in harms way if it all goes wrong. Cheers Richard |
Certainly one of the top motor sports events in the world to watch.
The speeds are awesome must be like a adrenalin bong hit. Life and death margins are wafer thin ! |
Followed this event for years. Those guys are unreal

Watched some last night. Outstanding.
Excellent camera work too, onboard and not! The slow-mo showing the riders eyes focused, fighting the chassis as it torques and twist, flying, claws around is just awesome. |
I've been a fan all my life. These guys are the real deal, no doubt about that. When Hemingway said "there are only three sports in this world - mountain climbing, bull fighting, and motor racing; the rest are just a game", he meant these guys.
While I applaud all of the modern advances in safety equipment and track design that has made motor racing relatively safe, there is still something about a place like the Isle of Man. They are racing for something else, and it shows. |
I think I will never see the Isle of Man that fast in my life. Narrow country lanes, 175 (mph?), one wipe out would take down 30 bystanders. Not exactly safe, but that is what the island is known for, freedom.
Too bad it's so expensive to live there. |
So sick.
