This story is making the rounds. A Chinese man's wife has a baby and it's so ugly he thinks it's not his; he kicks up such a fuss that his wife of two years reveals that she had plastic surgery before they met. He divorces and sues for damages, and is awarded $120k.

First, from the pics posted the woman had eye surgery to remove her epicanthic folds - I can't see someone being surprised a Chinese baby has them. It also appears she had an overbite and corrected them with braces - which should be pretty common over there. Otherwise, the difference in the pic is attributable to make-up.

Second, I saw this same story posted on forums about 8 years ago. Seems like an urban legend to me. Anyone else heard of this?

i'd see this all the time when i worked in santa monica. hot housewives with jackal ugly teenage daughters who were just a little too young for the tooth-nose-boob-chin-jobs.

This is one of the nasty side-effects as a result of China's one-baby policy - spoiled son's. Now running Chinese businesses and in important govt. positions. Add to the list, self-entitled fathers. And that includes the "judge" (probably single offspring) who awarded the jerk $120K for damages. It's a wonder he didn't sue his wife for the way her (or his) grandmother looks.

Spoiled offspring could demonstrate some patience and put his child under the surgical knife upon reaching her 5th birthday. :rolleyes:

And I bet it isn't a girl either.

There must be more lawsuits coming (China will have go cook up a bunch of lawyers) because Chinese males are having their leg bones cut and lengthened to become a couple inches taller to attract a mate. This of course, does nothing for their genetics, so wives and relatives may end up suing these guys for misrepresentation.

"Friends" used to joke about this all the time. Ross and Rachel were always worried their daughter would wind up with Rachel's original nose (whch, why wouldn't she?).

Ross: "I don't want your sister telling Emma she needs a nose job."
Rachel: "Well she might and we've just got to make our peace with that!"

One of my friends used to date a smoking hot young latina. I mean she was *middle of the day/stone cold sober* beautiful. I recently asked why he didn't take that relationship further and knock her up, (he's knocked-up 2 other exes).

He explained that she was crazy and I countered that every broad he's been with is crazy. Then finally he confessed that she had some massive family schnoz that had been shaved-down. All of her brothers and sisters had it. In his words:

I have seen the same thing with Caucasian families. A guy I know married a girl that worked for a plastic surgeon. They both had nose jobs, face lifts, and chin jobs and then they had a couple of kids. No one ever said gee your kids look just like you. :eek:

Take the kids to the same surgeon :D

And if mom has had surgery? I agree, though, that this is always a good idea. Background is everything, even if the person seems nothing like their parents. Many a married friend has seen this.
