while everyone is discussing sports I'll slip a question in.. why are equestrian events considered an olympic sport. I realize there's a lot of training to get the horses trained but after that you're pretty much just holding on. the horse could probably run the course by himself after training for the same thing day after day. sort of like running the marathon on your motorcycle isn't it?

Great point John. Equestrian is the only olympic event where men and women compete together.
