Meet AU Pelicans? 5,000K M/c trip to MotoGP-Phillip Island-

Be my 3rd time to Australia, spending 5 days on Fiji enroute.

Would be happy to meet up with any AU Pelicans in my travels. Part of my time will be a 5,000 K M/C trip from Hervey Bay, Queensland to the MotoGP on Phillip Island and back. I tried to connect with Fishcop last time, but ended up only talking to John on the phone, will do this time for sure.

Schedule in AU:
Oct. 14-17: Bowarl, NSW - an hour and half SW of Sydney
Oct. 18 - Stamford Plaza near Sydney airport, meeting friends, but the more the merrier.
Oct. 19-20: Hervey Bay (2 hrs north of Brisbane)
Oct. 21: Riding HB to Tenterfield (John, this near you?)
Oct 25: A "Rest day" in Phillip Island area
Race weekend and then wander back....last night on the road, maybe Goondiwindi about Nov. 2nd....

Wandering a bit and then at RainBow Beach in Queensland about Nov 8-12th......I know I'll be in rural areas most of the time, by send me a message if along my route.....Thanks....

Are you in Sydney on the 4th of November (Sunday)? There's a big Porsche Club v BMW Club shebang at the new Eastern Creek Raceway Full Circuit. I believe a few Pelicans will be showing up.

Sounds like a great trip. It'd be worth riding in the 5,000-bike convoys they get to Phillip Island circuit. There are all types, cruisers and sportbikes etc all in an escorted convoy. Awesome to watch, I really wanted to do it, but I sold my Buell before I had the chance.

If you get time in the Melbourne area for a beer/wine/soda, let me know.

Thanks for the info.....I'll be back up north by Nov 4th....Sounds like a great event. I've always wanted to see the Eastern Creek Track.....

Sounds like you're riding 'the back way' and will miss the cities.

I'll PM you my cell phone # and will try and be somewhere where we can meet up. If you feel like a night or two in Brisbane, you're more than welcome to stay here...

Motion - Yes, met Marek at a Pub in Killcunda on Sunday after the races. Small world....Been a great trip, started with 4 days in Fiji...Working our way back to Hervey Bay, me on a Kaw GTR 1400 and my friend on his Hayabusa...Will meet Fishcop in Brisebane Friday night......Not much internet access and full days don't allow pic's yet....Will be home in 2 weeks......UR right, trip of a lifetime....
