Didn't you just post this the other day?
I have never seen a Zanzibar 911. Not one. I suspect it was a special order color. I have seen Boxsters. Love that color. More of a deep orange than a red. |

It was a standard color for the 996 (I have a 2000 996 brochure), just rarely ordered. I think you're doing all the right steps trying to find one - have you advertised in PCA for one? It is beautiful, best of luck finding it.

It's not a standard color, it was a special order (extra charge) metallic color, like Arena Red.
Color code 1A8 or 1A9 depending on year and paint material/system 1A8 is more common, water based pearl effect

That's interesting. The 2000 996 brochure I have shows it presented right along side the other metallics (Seal Grey, Lapis Blue, etc.). Seal and Lapis were special order?

All metallic colors are extra charge on a Porsche. I would not call them "special order", just colors that they charge more for because they're metallic. Porsche has always been a strange company but that's why we love them.
