People who have animals who shouldn't.
Walking with my granddaughter and our Border Collie on a trail when we came across a couple with their pit bull ( or something like it) the one with the dog was holding it back by the collar as I got our dog by, but then it backed out of the collar and came for our dog. Our dog was smart enough to go for Plan B when she realized this idiot wasn't going to be friendly and got her throat and belly on the ground. I got its attention with a swift kick in the head while its owners scrambled over to grab the damned thing and get it under control. My granddaughter had sense enough to take a step back away from the fracus.
Basically it was a double jeprody of bad temperament and owners who didn't know how to train or control their animal.
No injuries to our dog. My granddaughter had never had an encounter with a dangerous dog before. We had a good discussion about safety and responsibilities on the rest of our walk and on our way home.

Hours later: Just had another long talk with my granddaughter. She was upset and crying because she thought the encounter with the dangerous dog was her fault because she had begged me to go on the walk on that trail. I finally convinced her that it was entirely the fault of the owners of the dog for buying the animal, failing to train it properly and not having equipment which would allow them control it.
She should be able to sleep now.

Best
Les

Well, You are in line as a moderator who people think has tools. My password has been involuntarily changed 2wice now and I'm locked out. I know what Tabs is referring to. the work around is tedious.

Maybe the big boss is trying to tell Tabs and me to GTFO.

Someone at the gym left there crap all over one of the benches...The locker I was using was right in front of this bench.. so I cleared it off with my foot..No one was in the showers or bathroom.. Would you leave your crap laying around and go work out?

I felt like hiding his shoes.. but decided to not stoop to that level..

Packaging so resilient that plastic explosives won't get it open!

This always pisses me off, and I encountered it this morning at WalMart.
I'm in the self-checkout line along with half a dozen other people and there is some guy at the scanner yakking away on his phone, phone in one hand and scanning and bagging his purchases one handed, one item at a time, barely paying attention to what he's doing. Took him forever. There was lots of grumbling from the couple in front of me, they were pissed too.

Iv got a new one. People that come over and sit in the driveway and call on the phone to tell me they are here. Knock on the damn door!

At one of my accounts there's an elderly lady who lives across the street and 2 doors down. She has her own car and does drive because I've seen it.

But once in a while an elderly man pulls up in his car to take her somewhere. Just about every time a short period of time goes by and he honks his horn. Freaking hilarious!

Apparently he can't be bothered with calling - or knocking on the door. Or on her part - staying attentive to their schedule and his arrival.

Just blast away on that horn.......:D

Well I understand a honk if you are picking someone up. Id accept a honk aswell. Often times im in the back yard and wont hear the bell or a phone call. These are people that are dropping off or picking up stuff for repair or buying something off marketplace. Most customers are ok but a few new ones still need training.

Yeah but in your 1st post you implied a knock on the door is preferred. If you are in the backyard "and wont hear the bell or a phone call" how would you hear a knock on the door?

Not trying to give you a hard time about it but seems like both parties need to meet each other halfway for this to work, and why setting up all the details ahead of time is crucial.

When my motorcycle transports arrived - all 3 times I was out by the road to wave them in. I realize that's a bigger event than what you are describing but the process is the same, I think. No?

Drivers that do not get out of the way for the police, firetruck, or ambulance. I’ve seen all three behind a car with loud horns and sirens, and the driver just sits there. Blows my mind. 🤯

No one's doorbell is located on a steering wheel. So many lame people.

A930Rocket 05-16-2024 01:03 PM

People who try to squeeze through an intersection, but end up blocking the lane, thus creating gridlock.

porsche930dude 05-16-2024 04:06 PM

Maybe I just dont like to answer the phone lol It just strikes me as lazy. They are too lazy to get out of the car and ring the doorbell. Like people that drive to their mailbox to get the mail and their driveway is like 50ft long.

Baz 05-18-2024 07:38 PM

People who chew gum with their mouth open.

Especially when I see them on TV........yuk!

Zeke 05-19-2024 10:17 AM

Just gum?
