Johnny Football - anyone watch?
Texas A&M QB extraordinaire!
The morning after & I'm still speechless. Fun to watch - uncanny. 20 yrs. old, huge hands, size 15 shoe. Will he grow more? If he doesn't get hurt, what a future!!!

Not a 'pretty' QB but WOW effective! Kid just works...ad they say football is his third sport, he's better at baseball and golf!
I was told he had a HS record of sorts where he scored every conceivable way during a game including a field goal. Now thats Johnny Football.

Seems like a nice young man.
Impressive skills, plenty quick on his feet and a good arm. I saw him hitting people, but he never really got hit. Walter Payton was like that. Looked like he had eyes in the back of his head a few times. I look forward to watching him develop. What do you figure the Aggies are ranked at the start of next season? Bet he is a good shortstop, probably pretty good point guard too. Suspect he is good at whatever he picks up, a good athlete is a good athlete.

I'd like to watch more of him, for sure. Yes, he's fleet-a-foot for a big shoe.

I watched until the end of the third quarter...I was reading a novel I received for Christmas and only watched the game when he was on offense.
He is something but so is the rest of the offense, especially the line. He made some really fast, great college athletes look slow, and OU can play, so can Alabama!

Not sure he showed any obvious weakness...guy can motor and make people totally miss, lets teammates score, screams his lungs out on the sideline... . RS freshman gets the biggest award in college football and was still all in all game long. Not a great looking dude but I bet he can get a date!!
College football rocks the past few years...especially the QBs. |

I have seen some pics of him at the local watering holes in College Station, ya he gets pretty much any girl he wants and I have seen pics with him and a few honeys that about as beautiful as a girl can be. Word on campus is that he now has a girl friend but a few months ago he didn't and was tagging all sorts of fine...

Jeepers. Can any of this thread (or most of the off-topic forum) be categorized as important?

I don't think we lose too many players next year. I think our third game is Bama in College Station. We will know at that point if there is a chance for a national championship.

As long as he's healthy, A&M is going to have a tough time recruiting top level high school quarterbacks for a spell...

Makes you wonder if there will be any drop off because his offensive cord and qb coach will be Techs coach next year. He looks as fast as or possibly faster/quicker than RG3 already.

As a hugh college football fan, I think this kid is really, really good. He has a feel for where the defense is and seems to avoid them more often than not. I'm happy that Florida played them early in the season before this kid got his confidence. The SEC just got stronger and I can't wait til next season!

I would say he already looks more elusive than RG3. The "eyes in the back of his head" comment was spot on, the guy has a great sense for defenders and eluding them. His passing isn't up to RG3 levels, but I think that will come.

His line is one of the best I've seen this year. He seems to get a lot of time to scan the field and is rarely flushed early in the play. Losing them will hurt.

I just hope he doesn't loose his coordination when he hits his growth spurt.
It was fun to watch. Might have to see about going down to College Station for a home game next year. My brother's an Aggie so he might be up for a road trip.
