Poor Elephants
 

What in the world are people thinking? Elephant nipples,genitals,and tusks. I have always thought the Elephant as one of the coolest animals. Why do people put there own greed first.
Just nuts.
There has been a ban on ivory for years but that seems to not be working.
Read 100 a day are being killed.

On which aspects of capitalism are you not exactly clear?

Seriously, if there's money to be made doing something, people will do it, the law be damned.

elephant hunting. i wont do it. EVER.

but that is the craziness of it all. i think elephant hunting is protecting the elephants. we can all agree that poachers run around without rules. they indiscriminately shoot elephants for ivory and other body bits. sure it is greed. but now that elephants are LEGALLY hunted..they hold a real value for the villages. they become a commodity. i dont know what the going rate for a rich hunter to go out on safari with a professional hunter..but i do know it isnt cheap. the money and meat goes to the people.

now that elephants have become a real value, the government has anti-poaching teams protecting them. i've read that most "Trophy" elephant hunts are some rogue animal tommenting a village. it needs to go. so they just find some rich schmoe that is willing to pay the money to shoot it. win/win.

just my take and lame opinion. i also think elephants are cool.

Why anyone could possibly want such things is beyond me.

A friend of ours is currently teaching at a boarding school in Kenya. One day she was sitting at the edge of the nearby lake, reading her book, when a shadow fell over her. She glanced over her shoulder, then did a double-take. The thing blotting out the sun was a bull elephant. She sat very still and, after a minute or so, it moved off.

Don't you just hate someone reading over your shoulder? :D

Someone needs to find a way to harvest the elephants natural gas. The volume of methane must be worth something.

dumping some Viagra down there would help...
those clowns and others are convinced...
ground up Elephant whatever will make them perform..

as for canned hunts...
they should consider hunting poachers....
villages could make $$ that way as well..

I can see lettuce on there. Salad is what FOOD eats.

Why do they think they need to perform better. I see a lot of places that do not have food or living in cubical size houses, there are so many people stacked together.
Maybe instead of Viagra dump a few tons of birth control pills. And have open season on poacher's. Like the days when bounty's where given for wolfs.
