Hopkins and Allen revolvers....waay off topic!
I acquired a box of old revolvers recently. Some are Forehand and Wadsworth, some Harrington and Richardson and one is a Hopkins and Allen. The F&W and H&A are spur trigger guns and the H&R are somewhat later, more "conventional" pieces. Some pictures:
Forehand and Wadsworth 1871-1880 (approx) ![]() Hopkins and Allen 1875-1885 (approx) ![]() Harrington and Richardson 1900-1920 (approx) ![]() The F&W guns are in 32 r/f, 38 r/f and 41 r/f. The H&A is 32 r/f. The H&Rs are chambered for 38 S&W. I have one other F&W that is blued that, interestingly enough, has 5 notches cut into the right grip! I've got to believe that someone was being waaaay optimistic!
