Who doesn't like DST?
It's 7:30, I just got back from a walk with the dogs and I could see my way around the neighborhood. We had a discussion at work about people actually NOT liking DST. I can't believe it. In our group of 6, two people didn't like it. There's a lot more folks here. What do you think?

I dislike the transitions. I would love it if it was always DST.

This. Do we really need them anymore? |
Just pick a time and stick with it. Leave the space/time continuum alone
|
I prefer to have more light in the afternoon instead of the morning, so I would prefer to make it permanent.

Attributed to an indian chief when told of DST:
"Only the government could cut a foot off a blanket, sew it on the other end, and think the blanket is a foot longer" |
Gotta love the light after work, much needed. My issue my sleep schedule, I've been up way too late the last few nights. Slept until ~10:30 this morning. I need to get over the transition.

I like DST. It makes total sense.

We don't change here......and I wish we did.

i'm cool with it. i love the extra daytime after work. i get a crazy amount of stuff done.
let the eggheads figure out where to put the time to maximize the day after work, and leave it there would work for me also. |
It's easier to reschedule the entire known history of the universe than to convince people to wake differently according to an arbitrary number.

Love it, next year, let's set our clock 2 hrs ahead?
|
it's fake; I like real time
|
I like it.
It gives me something to look forward to in the spring time. More daylight towards the magic hour. |
Believe it has to do with kids going to school in pitch dark. I like DST and the twice/year transition makes perfect sense.
Plenty to grumble about, but this isn't one of them. |
I love it. comes at the perfect time to start Spring full of optimism with new projects.

Who doesn't like DST?
Should be DST all year. It might make the useless winter months a bit more enjoyable having some day time left when one gets done at work. Getting up AND going home in the dark sucks. Granted I do it sometimes if I'm busy and working 12-hour days but when it drags in for 2-3 months for normal work days it's just insufferable. Gotta call in sick occasionally ("Vitamin D deficiency") ;) to tolerate it. No wonder people in this part of the country get so miserable and pissy. I'd totally support DST year-round - I don't care if I have to burn a few extra kWs in the morning.
|
God will punish us for this. If He wanted 6 AM to be 7AM he would have made it 7AM. We will all burn in hell.
OTOH, being a sinner and all, I liked DST when it encompassed less of the year. April 15th to Oct 15th would be better. |
I live in AZ, so could care less about DST. Only problem I have with it is now my meetings with people on the East Coast happen earlier.
