And THAT, ladies and germs, is why we need 30-round magazines.

FWIW, they've been doing that at Big Sandy for several years now.

Nowadays the ammo is more expensive than the RC plane.

Those idiots probably ran it out of fuel, rather than actually shooting it down.

At first I thought "isn't a RC plane a rather expensive target?"... but then I realized what you guys are saying is even more true!

There's little text embedded in the video saying people shooting had any alcohol, the property they're on is owned by them and nobody else is around for 2 miles, etc. So, yeah, they know nobody's on the other side of the water...for at least 2 miles.

What Hugh is implying I think - is unless you check - you don't know. I've known of TWO instances of people on private property without notification to owner that ended up without the shooters knowledge in the general direction of the gun fire. Fortunately in one case the shooter was shooting into a steel angled back stop that sent any rebound back into the ground. Some kids were out in the woods behind it doing drugs out of sight.

The other case, the trespassers were police who didn't think they needed to ask permission/notify property owner. Apparently some one stepped out side to de-stress from a hard day and fire off a few rounds.

In both cases, no one was hit, and in the first case, there was no likely hood of the downrange bozo's getting hit. But still, unless you've checked - you don't know.

Lots of kids these days are not brought up to respect property and property lines, or even fences.

Here in NZ, Wellington actually , there is a gun range that backs onto some bush covered hills. A mountain biker passed half a dozen warning signs and rode out onto a rifle range. Luckily the guys had stopped to check targets when the mountain biker came full speed into what was the line of fire.

Now there is the possibility the rifle range may be closed

Yes, when in doubt error on the side of more lead

Both alarming and intriguing.

I think I'm safer staying out of the company of such people, no matter how good their aim and gun ownership/safety skills are.
