Viagra Commercial
I have seen this a few times and laugh at it, my wife finally asked me what the problem is, I haven't paid that much attention to it but, well this camper or? has a problem starting his fire, he shows off a shinny new looking Buck Knife, you know, with the BRASS ends. He takes this brass end of his knife, hits it against a stone and provides the spark to start his fire.
Am I missing something. Maybe thats why I didn't make Eagle Scout. |
Would never work.... Brass is ferrous, ie, it wouldn't spark!
|
I've noticed the same thing. Shows the sort of people who put commercials together.

Plus why didn't he just use the lighter in the car right behind him. I was giving him credit that maybe there was another metal on the other side of the knife. I do bend over backwards to help these fools with their ignorance.

I just thought that he was hitting the back of the blade.

Yep, cigarette lighter in the truck would have worked just as well.
I did hear on the news last night that viagra will be filling prescriptions through the mail because of all the bogus advertising for the stuff from China or somewhere. I think they should change the color to a wood texture. |
Maybe they should just put it in Ice Cream, and you could pick it up at Baskin Robbins on your way home from work.

I saw that also. My youngest son can 'bust' a fire with a stick and shoelace and a few other items and it isn't that easy but that scene was Hollywood all the way.

Use a Zippo. (see thread elsewhere) ;)
|
right up there with adding bottled water (with minerals) to your coolant

Wood is funny, though. |
I carry a flint, steel, and magnesium block in my truck all the time.
Why you may ask? Because it was on sale cheeeeep at harbor freight tools and I caint figure out no place other to keep it, that's why :) |
