It's really only 2 stories, but the design calls for a shed style roof, rather than gables (don't know if that is correct nomenclature) with the high side at my fence line and the low side south of that. It makes that wall 3 stories high in reality, as far as my life is concerned... It won't be living space just roof trusses......

I guess my backyard will suddenly become clothing-optional during open houses, and I'm 54 YO and not exactly a speciman.

Baz has it right. let karma work here. No reason to get angry; the guy is a dick. (I have to go use the john)

That's funny right there, folks.

And the architecture is an abomination as you describe it. There is no reason to do this unless the entire rood is to be covered with solar. And, if I'm right, it faces the wrong direction for that.

Generally there is more than one sat available to point at. You might need to relocate your dish.

As an alternative, the gas/oil ratio should be close to 2:1 and wear gloves when filling or wipe clean.

I have no idea what that means...

Good for you Herr Oberst. Take the high road - you don't need to carry that burden with you.

Things have a way of working out....

Dude, you sure are getting worked up about a satellite dish. Is it really worth it? Maybe find another way to mount your dish and enjoy life again

id10t 05-07-2013 05:54 PM

Call your sat company, get fixed up, then since you know what his mailing address will be, pull a Ralsky on him.

herr_oberst 05-07-2013 05:59 PM

I got the direction wrong, that picture faces south. I'm directionally challenged, I should have known better

Nostril Cheese 05-07-2013 05:59 PM

No way that house is worth 800K.

This is Portland, dude. Raise a giant pole with a Jolly Roger, Heart in Oregon and bud leaf on the end. Free Speech laws.

I was actually worked up about his attitude, you know? I'm calm now.

Pole with a strobe on top....

Some perspective is in order....the important things in life (turn it up!) :)

Over the years I have had various people I have worked with or known in the Porsche club talk about something a neighbor did and they filed a formal complaint and in EVERY case after they made a complaint, the neighbor did a counter complaint and they got reamed by the city, state, etc which was generally worse after all was said and done. I would suggest saying nothing else and moving your dish which the Dish folks said they do for free if the occasion ever arises. Not sure about other companies?

I have three female mannequins that I found in a free pile once. These could be used to help prospective buyers make a decision on whether or not to buy...

If that house is south of you, then there's a case of property devaluation should you want to pursue it. Look up "tenets of owning your home." You have the right to enjoy your property.

Best to consult the satellite provider and see if their installers have a stand... or maybe there's a way to attach to a chimney?

If it gets into a war, you'll both lose. I had a neighbor who was so angry with the Jewish guy who lived next door that he had a huge swastika laid into his driveway pavers. In situations like that, only the lawyers win.

:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Got pics??

Re-enact a couple of scenes from Step Brothers when the house was for sale??

:D:D:D:D

ZOA NOM 05-07-2013 06:32 PM

it would totally suck for that house to have termites after all that work...

Tobra 05-07-2013 06:32 PM

I wonder how much he is into that thing, cost of the property, expense to carry the note, unless he just threw down cash, materials to do it, labor, or is he putting the whole thing up himself. If he is working on that, he is not working on a paying job. I wonder how thin he is stretched.
