G'day!
|
At our home in Norfolk 1960's....
 One of my birthday's - after we moved down to Florida....  With my cat "Kinger" at my home in Lehigh Acres, FL......  More recently at my NSB, FL home spoiling a couple of her grandkids....  Mom is an amazing 90 now, lives by herself since my step-dad passed a few years ago, in her own house here in NSB, still drives, and makes all her own decisions. Happy Mother's Day to all who are still here or watching over us from above!

My mom Janeen during her high school years. First mothers day without her, she passed a couple months ago. Going through the day yesterday and I suddenly grabbed my phone to call her.Miss he beyond words.

Mom and Grandma from a few years ago.
 Grandma will be turning 93 and my mom passed a couple of years ago. I sure miss her but she is in a better place. Family did lunch at the cemetary.

Mom and me in 1985. She died five years later. She was my compass rose.
 The scan is poor but it remains my favorite picture. I was ferrying a Seahawk from NY to California and we stopped in South Carolina for the night. First and last time she ever saw me fly as a pilot.

 Mom LOVED to volunteer at the local Zoo. She volunteered more hours than anyone else for many years and was in the top 10 for over 20 years. She was out there all the time.  This was my furry "sister" kissing up to mom. Mom died in 2006. I still miss her.

1940 or so. She died of secondary liver cancer from Breast Cancer about 25 years ago. The pic is of her graduation from the University of British Columbia as a nurse.
