brain trust help (again)

I loaned my truck to my friend to use while he is in the area. Only problem is he arrives at the Dayton airport at 7PM and I leave out of the Columbus airport at 10 AM. So my truck will have to sit at the airport for 12 daylight hours. Any suggestions as to how I can safely leave the key for him? He is coming from Europe, so mailing it to him is no longer an option.

I keep a spare key strategically tie wrapped underneath mine.

I keep a spare key in the wheel well.
Mechanics wire and tuck it behind the splash panel if you've got one.

I still have the magnetic key holder sitting above the frame rail in my son's 1999 Tacoma. Been there 14 years

We've used it more than once!

^^^^^This was my idea.

True story. At one time my wife's daily driver was an 01 Lincoln LS V8. Nice car for the time, when something wasn't broken. That car was a pain... I had a week long trip for work. I left that infernal car parked at the Memphis airport, on grounds, for a week with the doors unlocked and the keys on the console. Just my luck it was still there when I returned. -J

If your truck has insets for a camper or racks on the bed rails, throw the key in one. If he says he can't tip the truck over to get it out, you'll know whether the decision to loan your truck was right or wrong.

Just leave it on top of the right front tire as you kneel down to tie your shoe.

Bingo!!!

I have one of those key boxes realtors put on doorknobs to keep the house key in. I'll just attach it to something on the truck and put the key inside.

THANK YOU!!

What about one if the airport parking places? If you valet it with a place like The Parking Spot and let them know who will be picking it up... Helluva lot safer that way and should cost less than 10 bucks.
