My dad was/is a huge Doors fan. He saw them live many times and I grew up listening to them. Sad day indeed.

I have a hard time turning off Light My Fire before it finishes, almost seems disrespectful to such a complete piece of music.

Damn, hate to hear this. One great keyboard player that could lay down some decent bass lines on that Rhodes piano bass.

18 years old, my first beer at a bar... my older buddy John was tending bar... we sat together and watched the rain coming down, and he put Riders On The Storm on the stereo. I'll never forget that.

wow you turn on your computer and you never know what your gonna learn. this sucks. the doors were the first band i really became obsessed with as a kid. didnt know he was sick and didnt realize he was 74, he always looked so healthy and young. RIP
