I lost three good relationships in my early days (25 - 30 yrs. old) because of variations of the blind drive to "fix it" for the ladies.
I would listen, but to the wrong message. I joined a "men's group" at a local crisis center (yrs. later, I became the director) and learned about "the nail". It was one "Aha" experience after another, in those meetings...we all told the same story about our unconsciousness. Thank God for the patient female co-workers. My sig line tells the story of my obscuration back then. Growth, for me, was painful...simple, but painful. . Women have much to teach men...only a fool would not listen. In a crisis situation, men can sound similar to the woman in this video. . SmileWavy |
That video is a classic!

Funny enough for an unintentional repost. I'm a lucky guy, no mind games from my spouse.

I'll sum it up this way: I don't have time for this; she doesn't have enough time.

Things looked like they were going well near the end after he started listening, but when he kissed her, he screwed it up by not leaning his head to the right.
He kissed her like a little kid kissing his mom, bringing the nail back into play. :D |
Sorry to all you sensitive types, I'm an unrepentant fixer and will be until I take the dirt nap....I admit, fixing the nap is beyond me.
I don't know which disgusts most, modern women or the modern men that pander to them. |
