Vintage Car Model: The Outhouse - want it?
Hi,
I've been hanging on to this for far too long - it should go to someone that will build and enjoy it. Rather than list it on I'm 99% sure it is complete. Has the instructions, most of the parts still on the trees.

There may be a few people out there that will tell you it's representative of some of the work I've done. Haters are gonna hate.
![]() The truth is when I first started working for Barris, he had just bought Reisner's California Show Cars. There were around 50 cars in a warehouse in Hollywood. I spent about a month there getting the cars running and moved to our warehouse at the Van Nuys airport. The "Outhouse" was one of the first cars I got running. Brings back memories.

That's what I was referring to, your time at Barris. Not at all about the quality of your work.
Those were some strange times when a chassis and show engine provided the platform for anything, a coffin or outhouse just being a couple of examples. I have always thought that things like the Monkeemobile were the biggest bits of kitsch possible. |
