Motorcycle Show - Mods vs Rockers

This was my first motorcycle show (mostly because it was only a few blocks from my place). Though you guys would like to see a few pics. I'm a Honda fan, so they dominate, but bear in mind I took a lot more than this.

Wow, what a day.

Ha, I was thinking; that little honda 250, while not as exotic as the rest of the bikes, is probably one on the most reliable well made bikes ever.

It was a nice outing - I actually took over a hundred photos.

Speaking of Hondas, there was one oddity. The longest ongoing discussion at the meet was around a young girl with a CB200T - the one with the weird front brakes? Turned out about 5 other people there owned one and they were having a great old time discussing performance mods and upgrades. It's not the silver one - I didn't get a shot because there were people on it the entire time I was there. I was checking it out because there was one for sale on Craigslist last month for under a grand and I dilly-dallied unti it sold. I haven't seen one as cheap since.

I was also bummed no one had a CB400 or NT650; I should have ridden there on one of mine.

You must of got there early, no oil under the British bikes. I like the grey Yamaha with the brown seat.
I just awoke from a dream of getting a striped small Honda CS and clicked on this post. ;-)
Thanks for the pics.

ha, when I had a British bike I reckond they lasted so long because they didn't go half the time, and they leaked so much oil that the topups mean always fresh oil in them.

Funny, but it occurred to me during the show that the 2nd most common bike I've seen around Chicago is the Triumph Bonneville and it's variants (Scrambler, Thruxton). The most common is the Sportster, by a huge amount, but still. They were also the only dealer at the show (I entered a drawing for Thruxton, btw).

Pardon the hijack but I remember during an interview with The Beatles a newsman asked Lennon if he is "a mod or a rocker" and he answered back "I'm a mocker" (in that heavy British accent it sounded like mock-ah).

Nice pics. Some real cool rides. Looking forward to this year's Steel City Mods vs Rockers in July--haven't missed one yet.

Even won "Best Japanese" at their inaugeral show with my 76. Since you like Hondas, here is a pic:
