That's his sister! His degree is in Economics from UC Riverside.

That's an honors stole around his neck. From the emblem it would seem to include an honor society. Summa, I presume with admission to one of the honor societies? Not Phi Beta, is it? The insignia doesn't look right.

After a late dinner my wife and daughters went up to bed and my son and I shared a bottle of wine in the courtyard. A great opportunity to tell him how proud I am of him.
If you're ever in Riverside, CA the Mission Inn is a beautiful place.
