electric impact less than $200

looking for a 1/2 detent cordless electric impact wrench.

There are a ton out there and the top ones seem to be

Ingersoll Rand
Snap On
Milwaukee

but there are all about double the price! $400+ I want something decent but want to keep it under $200. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Thx!

The one you linked is a 1/4 in impact not much good for anything auto related

You want a 1/2 in impact at least...

I got a Ryobi... since as a result of a Christmas gift I was bought into the Ryobi battery shape and charger...

Many are made in the same factory....

All he needs is the 1/4"-->1/2"-->3/4" adapter bits.
Good to go.

I bought a corded one at pep Boys, it works great. Enought power to tighten down a set of spring compressors on an F150 coil spring. It was less than $50

I'm headed to home depot to take a look at everything.

there is a nice corded Milwaukee for $160 that has a lot of torque.

Air ones are cheap-ish. If you have a compressor already, this might be a good way to go.

That unit has 1280 Inch-Pounds of torque, that's about 107 Foot-Pounds. You typically want 300 Foot pounds to break lugnuts, hence why people buy the expensive 1/2" units.

I have used one of those 24v Goodyear racing ones from Pep Boys for 6 years of taking off lugnuts.

I have 2 18V Dewalts
057

059H, hogring, the detent model is 059B

Both do the job the bigger 059 just does it better, more torque.

there are also 20v models but all my cordless are Dewalt 18v.

Do yourself a favor a get Li batteries

Thanks for the info!

I ended up getting the Hitachi WR18DL

18v LI Battery
160lb/ft
found it on ebay for $210 shipped as separates. 1 tool 1 battery 1 charger...so missing an extra battery and case.
Lifetime Tool warranty.
I wanted something not too big or too small. Hope it works!
