You're being generous Sid. The 938 mag is god awful to load
Recoil is crisp, but manageable It does what it was designed to do very well: allow a 9mm in an ultra compact platform that's reliable and accurate. |

I did my part this year. Picked up a new Browning 12ga.
This 4th would be a great time to blast through a few boxes of shells.

Not a big surprise, by now a very healthy number of new gun owners should show on the records and all thanks to the best gun salesperson of all times.................and we all know who that is !

The Benneli and Hammerlis are, AFAIK. The others, nope, but they are A-OK in Oregon.

I have a list and would be buying if I could find the items I want.
People cannot buy what the store does not have.

Most distributors are still low on stock for anything popular. AR's are coming back, but there are still shortages of BCG's and LPK's. Starting to show signs of improvement. THe ammo situation is still a tough nut to crack. People are still hoarding and trying to flip.

NICS checks are a bad indicator. I've bought two guns on one 4473 before and haven't had to go through NICS (because of my ccw) in over five years. Bought plenty of guns in that time, none of which go into those FBI figures.

There are about 20 states that allow for alternatives to NICS

NICS doesn't capture all sales. Partly for the reasons you mentioned. Also because a background check may not necessarily end in a sale. But it is a good indicator anyway.

Things are slowly coming back in WA State. As soon as I bought my Ruger LCR .38 in May, .38 special ammo became well nigh impossible to get. Today I picked up two 100-round boxes at Cabela's, and there were plenty more. That said, the only Sig Sauer P229's (my next gun) to be had were used.
Mossguy, I sympathize. The LCR has a nasty bite (though way less than a S&W), so much so that my wife had a bruise on the web of her hand after shooting a total of 5 rounds. It's a real handful with +p loads. My hand hurts pretty badly after 100 rounds. The Sig .40 I rented had way less. My wife will be buying some padded shooting gloves. Terry |

we are knee deep in AR style weapons. Ammo is flowing in and out. 22 is the hardest to keep. In one day gone the next.

Well not yet....:-). If we get them I will just buy them for you. Last I knew they were $45.00 for 500. The shop is closed after this friday for two weeks, so I hope we have some when I go there friday. I'll call them on thursday to give them a heads up for ya.
