T-Boned

This morning, left side,. Woman ran stop sign, in a hurry, admitted to it. Said she was sorry.

I'm heartbroken.

ben parrish 07-08-2013 05:37 AM

You OK? Hate to say it but...cars are replaceable, you are not.

pete3799 07-08-2013 05:44 AM

Hope you're OK.
Stupid drivers suck.

yellowperil 07-08-2013 06:45 AM

Thanks, I'm OK. Car is W.O. (IMO) And it was as perfect as I could get it., So I'm kinda bummed. Wrinkled on the off side.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1373290927.jpg

That's just awful. Looks like a hard hit, she could have killed you in a lesser car and on a MC, you'd be dead for sure. Are you in Canada?

VaSteve 07-08-2013 06:54 AM

Wow....that's scary. My DD had a slight accident in the driveway at 5 mph (max). I'm shocked at the damage it inflicted. Glad you were not hurt (assuming).

billybek 07-08-2013 07:54 AM

Wow! That is a hard hit! Hope you are ok.

Zeke 07-08-2013 07:57 AM

Very sorry to see. Yes, that's totalled, IMO and I've told some to fix some bad damage. You must be shaken up in more that one way.

Laneco 07-08-2013 08:03 AM

Zeke's right... the car is totaled, the tub itself is bent. Beautiful car too, very sorry! But VERY glad that you are OK!

The paperwork for the car show in the windshield? Leave it there for the insurance adjuster.

I am glad you are ok. Sorry about your car.

pete3799 07-08-2013 08:24 AM

Looking at the first two pictures i'm thinking.....that's not too bad.
Scroll to the next picture........holly s#@t!
That was a Beautiful car. Sorry for your loss.

GothingNC 07-08-2013 08:54 AM

Ouch:(

She was hauling a** and completely disregarded the stop sign.

Glad you are Ok.

GH85Carrera 07-08-2013 08:59 AM

Sorry for your loss of a nice car. The good news is the car did it's job and kept you safe.

John Rogers 07-08-2013 09:54 AM

I would have already had a lawyer by now. No matter how nice the lady was, she nearly killed you and even if she has insurance, they will fight as hard as they can. Was she on the phone, texting, drinking coffee, then.......Two of my neighbors have had been hit and in both cases the offender's insurance said initially "well if you had not been in the intersection, no accident would have taken place"! I would start at a million and let them work down a bit........

wdfifteen 07-08-2013 10:06 AM

Very sorry for your loss, but glad you are OK. That first photo really tells the tale. Bent tub.

I had a similar accident in my '74 and got the approx value of the car...at the low end. Would you expect more than the value of the car of not injured?

recycled sixtie 07-08-2013 10:23 AM

Sorry for the loss of the car. Soft tissue damage to you? I do not understand how folks take red lites and stop signs so lightly. Red lite means stop. Stop sign means stop. When somebody hits me- I just want to ream them out. Which I do . Make sure you get adequate compensation. And you want a decent loaner car too.....

bivenator 07-08-2013 10:30 AM

That is a pretty hard center punch, like others have said "thank heavens you are OK.' With that said you should see a doc in the next day or so. Lots of things can show after a hit like that. Sorry for the loss of your car.

Evans, Marv 07-08-2013 10:59 AM

Really glad you are OK. The damage to the car really sucks. I would definitely buy the car from the insurance company for the parts. The whole situation is a royal PITA.

"Sorry" doesn't cover that...
