Diggin in the dirt .

After 11 years here in my shop , I think I have finally defeated my water drainage problems. The shop was always, wet, but in heavy rains, I used to get up to 2 inches of water .
I have added, and changed so much drainage over the last 5-6 years, but I still had two problem areas, one old terra cotta drain was collapsed under the driveway, I was told it was patched 20 years ago with two hot water tanks fused together as a drain pipe. I had rusty water coming to the surface in one spot in my parking lot, and when I dug there, sure enough, I pulled out two rusty holed hot water tanks, patched right into the old terra cotta pipe. This drain, was also being asked to take all the runoff on my property which is a lot, I am at the bottom of a big hill. So I made another drainage ditch in the back of my lot, and diverted 50% of the water to another large drain.
Shoveling sucks, but running a mini is great fun. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1373749069.jpg
