Weekend In Pittsburgh

An almost perfect weekend, (David knows why it wasn't perfect ;) ). A buddy & I did a road trip to watch the Pirates and Mets. The Pirates took two out of three, I caught up with David, (Targa911S), and met two other Pelicans for the first time, 89911 & Heinz something, sorry Ed I forgot!). What a great car 89911 has beautiful and sounds awesome. Had some German food and a few beers. And got to watch David and his band play the blues for an hour at a benefit Saturday afternoon. Awesome is all i can say.

How about a couple pics of the weekend??

Glad you made it back safe. It was a hot weekend but hope it cools off a bit for the Pittsburgh Grand Prix this weekend. Keep us up to date with the 914's.

I also spent the weekend in Pittsburgh. I was visiting my grandkids.

Buckterrier 07-15-2013 04:09 PM

I sure will. Going to look at them this week.

No kidding Rick?? Darn it would have been nice meeting you also.

That would have been cool Mark. We head up there every two months or so. Gonna invade Fred's place one of these times

IDK that I could live there, but Pittsburgh does photograph beautifully. Glad to hear that you enjoyed the trip; that's a pretty good drive from Connecticut.

89911; what is the Pittsburgh Grand Prix? Which series?

Cool video. In a prior life, I spent a lot of time walking the hills of Schenley Park at the PVGP. I still have a bunch of photos in a box from the races. Those were pre-digital camera days, so I remember being cautious with film and running out if I wasn't careful. Good stuff.

Yo Mark - Awesome post and thread! Great pics too!

David looks right at home behind that axe!

Give the pups a butt scritch from my girls! :)

David is worth the trip. Truly good people.

Also, if anyone is considering a game at PNC Park, I recommend seats on the 1st base side, you sit in the shade and watch those across the field bake.

If you go, dress cool and bring an umbrella. It's either hot as hades or pouring. Usually both!:D

As much as I love the 'Burgh I couldn't live in a city either. Thanks, it was an awesome trip. I forgot I also got a great recipe for bird suet from David's beautiful wife! Ct. is a haul but I drive a lot so it's not a biggie.

mark,
Some of the "O" are heading up this weekend for the GP...you interested?

Hey Mark...back from the dead here. We had a pretty good time didn't we? Smokin cigars, playing the blues, ogling biker babes livin the life that day. You made a new friend in Sam my drummer, who I'm sure will call you when he is in CT. Mj's suet/ birdie crack recipe, great weather it was all good. Come on back anytime. People like yerself are always welcome at the shack in the woods.
Pittsburgh IS a beautiful city, I'm impressed every time I go to UPMC for my check ups. But it's and hour drive south of me. Live there? Nope. I can't do city anymore. I'm playing "donton" aug 2 at James gastropub, so that will be my trip in for the month.
Don't mind the pic at all. Did you have to wait to get home for the trifecta to be complete?

Yes was a totally awesome weekend. Both of your partners in crime are great. I hope Sam does and we can tip a few when he's up this way.
Thank MJ for the recipe, birds will love it.
And yes, the trifecta was completed upon getting home ;)
