Dog Toy
We've all thought about it. I actually did it. Bought a Ural Patrol.
Will have a more detailed review once I've put some miles on it. The biggest complaint so far is that my feet are too big for the shifter. But the dogs have taken to it instantly. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1374555231.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1374555250.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1374555273.jpg |
Now they can chase cows 3x faster!

I think in a 100 yard dash the dogs would win. This thing is sloooooooow.

add a turbo?
|
They're hardly worth owning if you don't have a dog

Dogs are a fairly compelling reason though.
Thought I was going to have to condition/train them to ride. But they jumped in and adapted immediately. |
What kind of goggles are you going to get?

Had my first ural moment already. Holed the rear tire. Took about a half hour to swap it out; which isn't bad considering It was my first time and I was using only the provided tool kit.
But then when I was putting the spare on it wouldn't fit. Since its less than two days old the brake pads hadn't worn in yet. Needed to figure out how to adjust them, something not in the manual. Figure about two hours. Put that against maybe three hours riding time. Joy. |

Am back on the road.
You're allowed, or more precisely, there are no laws against driving on the beach here. Went about a mile up to the point. Handled it okay. Didn't have to use the 2WD. |
