Or maybe it's a cool and fresh Honda Ad, Mr. Poopy Pants.

jtfreels 07-25-2013 08:15 AM

That make me smile, good memories

Cool project, especially if the sound followed the light which I think was the case.

TheMentat 07-25-2013 04:58 PM

In reality, it wouldn't sound much like the real thing because there's no doppler effect.

Love the sounds tho!

Rtrorkt 07-25-2013 05:01 PM

now that is just cool. Chills at the right spots

What makes you say that? Do you mean in the video or at the track? I think the people at the track would definitely hear the doppler effect.

The video gives the "onboard" sound. I'm pretty sure that is exactly what the people at the track would hear, albeit from switched speakers. The Doppler effect is the result of a moving object... but there are no moving objects in that "contraption".

It would probably sound just like the real thing for somebody about a mile or two from the track.

AFC-911 07-26-2013 06:19 PM

You're not making any sense. The people there would certainly hear a Doppler effect.

The sound isn't being played continuously on every speaker.

This giant the track he died at was it? I don't follow F1, so I don't know how good or wonderful this guy was...like an F1 Dale Earnhardt? Video was cool, neat way to do an ad. How many people send this around vs the usual ads on TV we all skip...gets right to the target audiences.

bell 07-27-2013 04:03 AM

Senna died at imola......this video was done at suzuka.

slow&rusty 07-27-2013 04:16 AM

I actually got goose bumps listening to that...wow.

Gogar 07-27-2013 05:07 AM

Uh. No.

So you're saying the sound isn't following the light? Perhaps I wasn't paying attention. :o

bell 07-27-2013 08:28 AM

The sound is following the light, but the sound is being produced on individual speakers, since the speakers aren't moving there is no doppler effect.....
