Commercial UAS will change the way we operate. I'm speaking at a UAS Conference in San Diego in September if you folks are so inclined

I guess we really need to talk sometime. I know it will change the industry, but I see a lot of challenges for them. We recently had to get a 10 million rider on our insurance policy for one simple job. We had to make a 30 second flight over a bunch of trees on a island in the Houston shipping channel. Aircraft fly over it all the time but the client insisted on 10 million coverage to be safe for us to fly a Cessna 206 with a very experienced pilot on board. I can't imagine telling them we would have drone fly over.

The trees will all be bulldozed and something will get built there. How much damage could a 206 do to a bunch of trees surrounded by water?

Sorry for the thread hijack.

I think that will one day be a big growth industry but will probably be controlled by companies like Waste Management who own the landfills.

As for growth industries in the DC Metro and surrounding areas... Oil and Gas. Companies are looking for everyone from drivers to landmen. Pipe companies are looking for people also. Pay is pretty good. Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Ohio are the boom areas.

North Dakota and some sections of Canada also are seeing a boom in natural gas and oil with some pretty decent salaries.

We do. Send me a PM. The market will explode and new markets will emerge, with or without the manned aerial folks.

Start a consulting firm to help people sign up for their gobment hand outs, charge 1% of the total of all the hand outs they get. Man I think I just came up with my own next business idea....
