Most Beautiful Car ever Styled?

I say styled because it pisses me off that stylists claim they are "designing" a car. Engineers design things, not stylists, But, I digress!

Vote for one!

Cars are designed.

Hair is styled.

The GNX speaks to me.

To me, the most beautiful style is when you can tell something is well designed...so in that sense, I think that engineers design AND style things. At least the really good ones do :)

Too many beautiful cars to list, all styled.

The Lotus 78 was a beautifully styled F1 racecar.

The Bugatti Atlantic is one of the most beautiful touring cars ever styled.

I still love the styling of my 911. And the 904. And the Carrera GT.

The Y job was a gorgeously styled 'dream car'

Studebaker Champion, Ferrari GTO, Cadzzila, Muira, Dino.....the list is long!

Way, way, way too broad and subjective for a simple poll, IMHO

I am a Form-Follows-Function guy. To me "styling" is just what results from a successful Form-Follows-Function process. For me, of course, Porsches are leaders in this field. Except maybe for the 914, which I thought was a miscarriage of "styling".

As R&T put it long ago in one of their Miura retrospectives:

"If you don't like this one, find a new hobby."

Definitely the Miura. Every few phone calls I give my father grief for selling his P400S.

Being an ex Brit I tend to gravitate towards Jaguar XKE and Austin Healey 3000.
Ford GT40 is special. Add Jaguar XK120 and Jaguar sedan 3.4. Many more though.
Even the 1960's Buick Riviera was special. Many more....

RWebb 07-30-2013 05:18 PM

or maybe the Ghibli?
